Our Work
Family Promise of Las Vegas is a 501-C3 nonprofit organization that partners in a community wide interfaith collaboration with congregations of all faiths.  We are not a religious organization -- we seek to engage the interfaith community in solutions for assisting homeless children and parents return to stable lives with living wage employment and affordable housing.

Annually, we serve an average of 54 families in our transitional shelter program and up to 20 families in our permanent housing program for homeless parents with disabilities.  Last year, 57% of our guests were children and 48% of these children were under the age of six.  Their average length of stay in our transitional shelter program was 65 days.  Over 70% of our guest families are single mothers with children.  Our total of individuals served is approximately 200 each year.

Family Promise of Las Vegas is an affiliate of the national program Family Promise which currently has 166 affiliates in 41 states and the District of Columbia.  Nationally, we have developed over 700 community initiatives; and engage more than 5,000 interfaith congregations and 135,000 volunteers.
