Volunteers
Volunteers are the core of the Family Promise network. At the hosting sites, volunteers cook, serve meals, socialize with the guests, assist parents with the children and stay overnight. Volunteers also help with running the Day Center, as well as fundraising activities and guest events.
Host and Support Congregations:
Additional congretations are needed to host and support our families.
Special Events:
We sponsor many events throughout the year and need volunteers to help with the special events. These volunteer opportunities include planning the event or helping on the day of the event.
Special Projects:
Volunteers are needed to help with special projects, such as the "Call Home" project, the "Stand-down for Homelessness" program and projects at the Day House.
Committee Volunteers:
We have openings for volunteers to work with us on various committees, including public relations, fund development and development of a new site.
Van Drivers:
We are looking for volunteers to drive our vans to transport our guests between the Day House and host congregations.
Professional Services:
Volunteers with special skills and knowledge are often needed. Expertise in IT, web development, non-profit organizations, public relations, architecture, maintenance, carpentry, etc. are in particular need.
